Keep the practice manageable.
These short papers are usually for learners in Years 4–6, supported by an adult. Start with a free sample to judge fit; they are not a complete preparation course.
Begin with the actual school
Check the admissions authority’s current subjects, timing, registration and access arrangements. Avoid choosing a pack on a provider name alone: test formats differ.
A useful ten-minute routine
- Choose a small set of questions. Explain the instructions without solving the questions for the learner.
- Allow rough paper and a calm place to work. Keep the first attempt untimed if the question types are new.
- Mark the answers, then review one or two missed questions. Ask the learner to explain their method.
- Choose one skill to revisit another day, then stop. A break is part of the plan.
Use feedback carefully
Our raw scores describe this attempt, not ability, readiness or a likelihood of admission. We do not provide standardised or age-adjusted scores.
