When practising as a guest, answers and scores stay only in the current tab and are not uploaded or saved in browser storage. Refreshing or changing paper removes the guest attempt. When signed in to a verified adult account, a visible saving notice explains that answer choices, unfinished papers, marked raw scores and timestamps are saved privately to that account. One account holds one shared record; do not enter children’s names, school details or birth dates. No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts are included.
Adult accounts and progress
Free accounts store an adult email, an Argon2id password hash, verification status, security version, account timestamps and the accepted account-notice version. Verification and reset links expire after one hour and are stored as hashes. Progress is visible only to the signed-in account. Verified accounts can see purchases made with the same email. Nothing is shared publicly and there is no ranking or admission prediction.
Use Account settings to export progress, clear it or delete the account. Deletion removes account and progress records from the active database; rotating backup copies expire within 14 days. Purchase records remain separate. Account and progress records remain while the account is open, until you clear progress or delete the account. Sign out before using another person’s record or a shared device.
Adult purchases
The private order database stores the adult purchase email, payment references/status, accepted terms and delivery timestamps, and download count. Stripe processes card/address data; we do not store card numbers or full addresses. SendGrid sends confirmation and recovery messages without open/click tracking. No marketing opt-in is created. Purchase links grant access to the order: keep them private.
Cookies and retention
Necessary secure session cookies protect account sign-in and checkout. Guest marking does not require a cookie. Account sessions expire after one hour of inactivity or 24 hours overall; saved progress remains for your next sign-in. Sent email bodies are removed after 30 days; purchase and related job records are retained up to six years for accounting/legal obligations. Private database backups rotate after 14 days. Cloudflare and hosting may keep technical delivery/security logs, including IP addresses.
